RON LUCE (1983)

Ron is the President and Founder of Teen Mania Ministries, one of the world's largest Christian youth organizations, which reaches millions of young people worldwide. Ron has stood face to face with millions of teens passionately declaring the truth of the Gospel without compromise.

Raised in a broken home, Ron ran away at the age of 15 and became involved in drug and alcohol abuse before finding Jesus at the age of 16. The life-transforming impact of Christ inspired Ron to dedicate his life to reaching young people. After receiving both bachelor's and master's degrees in counseling and psychology, Ron and his wife, Katie, started Teen Mania in 1986 with nothing more than a hatchback car and a dream to raise up an army of young people who would change the world.

The heartbeat of Teen Mania Ministries is to provoke a young generation to passionately pursue Jesus Christ and take His life- giving message to the ends of the earth. Through Teen Mania's newest initiative- BattleCry -hundreds of thousands of teens, who are fueled by their Christian faith, are taking a stand for their generation and pursuing purpose-filled lives shaped not by pop culture, but by God. Bolstered by a series of BattleCry books and curriculum, huge stadium events, a state-of-the-art Web platform, and a coalition of parents, church leaders, youth workers, government officials, musicians, filmmakers, teachers, and concerned citizens, the BattleCry movement is engaging teens from coast to coast in today's culture war. 205,830 teens attended BattleCry and Acquire the Fire event this past season. This movement has also caught the attention of national media including front page of the New York Times, Rolling Stone Magazine, FOX'S 0'Reilly Factor, NBC's Saturday Today Show, ABC's Nightline, CNN Presents "God's Warriors", CNN American Morning, NBC News, and the Sean Hannity Radio Show.

Ron's accomplishments include 26 books for and about teens, including best-selling Columbine Courage. His most-recent book series, Battle Cry for a Generation: The Fight to Save America's Youth (Cook Communications, 2005-2006), is the launching pad for the BattleCry movement. Ron was appointed by President George W. Bush to the White House Advisory Commission on Drug-Free Communities (2002-2004). Ron earned a bachelor's degree in Bible and psychology from Oral Roberts University and a master's degree in counseling psychology from Tulsa University. Ron is a graduate of Harvard Business School's Owner/ President Management Program and holds an honorary doctorate from Liberty University.
