Pastor Danny and his wife, Ruth, both come from Pastors' homes. Their parents' vast experience in the ministry prepared them for their own ministry among their people. Pastor Danny has complete command of the Spanish and English language, bicultural and can minister to both segments of the Hispanic population.

Pastor Danny earned a BA degree from Vanguard University, Costa Mesa, California, a Master's in education at Chapman University, Orange, California, and a Master's of Divinity at Melodyland School of Theology, Anaheim, California. He was honored with an honorary Doctor of Divinity degree in 1983.

For the past 36 years, he has Pastored Templo Calvario in Santa Ana, California. Under his guidance the church has grown to be one of the largest bi-lingual Hispanic congregations in the U.S.A. Its ministries now reach many parts of the world through radio, television and the Internet. The church has established over 90 satellite churches in the United States and in Latin America. Templo Calvario established the Templo Calvario Community Development Corporation - one of the fastest growing church based Community Development Corporations in America.

Numerous articles have appeared in magazines and newspapers regarding Templo Calvario. Pastor de León has also been invited to be a guest at the White House and Capitol Hill on numerous occasions to speak on issues regarding the moral climate of America and other topics that concern the Hispanic community.

Presently Pastor Danny serves as General Presbyter of the Assemblies of God and is active in many other organizations: Board member of Mission America, Board member of ICFSR (International Center for Spiritual Renewal), Board member of E21Global, Chairman of the Board of E21Hispanic Congress which represents approximately 25,000 churches, Board member of NHCLC the largest Hispanic church organization in America and others. He is President/Founder of the organization H.A.B.B.M. (Hispanic Association for Bilingual/Bicultural Ministries). He served as board member and one of the keynote speakers for the Promise Keepers conferences held all over the United States and Latin America. He has also hosted the 700 CLUB in Spanish (Club 700), which is presently seen throughout Latin America, the Caribbean, Australia and Spain and in some parts of the United States.

He speaks about his personal experiences and is a dynamic expositor of the Word. He is in great demand as a conference speaker and evangelist. He has authored several manuals and several books, one of which has made the Top Ten Sellers List (Barnes and Nobles) in Spanish Christian literature - Siete Pecados Capitales de los Padres.

Pastor de León and Ruth have three sons, Daniel, Jr., Joey & Steve; daughters-in-law Kristine, Lori, Monique, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
