Meet the Board of Trustees
W. P. BARTLETT
W. P. Bartlett is the former chairman and CEO of Callidus Technologies, L.L.C., a major designer and supplier of combustion equipment/systems to the refining and petrochemical industries worldwide.
Since Bartlett founded the company in November 1989, Callidus has taken the lead in bringing world-class combustion products to the marketplace, including the industry's most innovative burner, Callidus Ultra-Blue. Most recently, Bartlett's leadership earned Callidus the 2007 Award for Excellence in Exporting from Oklahoma Governor Brad Henry, and an Export Achievement Award from the U.S. Department of Commerce. On June 12, 2008, Bartlett received the Governor Nigh Award as the Outstanding International Citizen in Oklahoma for the Year 2008.
In June 2004, the Senior Management Team of Callidus successfully negotiated an MBO to purchase 100 percent of the company stock. Callidus has since become an international brand with more than 400 employees worldwide. In 2006, Callidus registered its own company in China and in 2007 opened its own company in Mumbai, India. These companies have grown exponentially. Currently, Callidus is planning new operations in the Middle East and South America. In December 2008, Callidus sold its ownership interest to Honeywell International Corporation.
Before he founded Callidus, Bartlett enjoyed a distinguished career with the John Zink Company, which culminated as president during the years 1981, 1982 and 1983.
Bartlett's board service has benefited several organizations, including Callidus Technologies, L.L.C., Oklahoma State Chamber of Commerce, First Mississippi Corporation, First Chemical Corporation, First Fertilizer Corporation, Miratech Corporation, and Mid-America Prison Ministries. He has also been active in numerous Christian ministries. Currently, Bill and his wife, Rita, are quite active in worldwide ministries serving the poorest of the poor. During a 25-year membership at Woodlake Assembly in Tulsa, Bartlett led men's ministries, singles, and benevolence ministries, taught Sunday school, and served on the mission board. He is also a life member of the Full Gospel Businessmen's Fellowship.
Bartlett earned his bachelor's degree from Denison University in Granville, Ohio, and his MBA from Emory University in Atlanta. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp (Captain), with combat experience in Vietnam.
